In “Gianni Schicchi” by Giacomo Puccini, the greedy relatives of the wealthy Buoso Donati gather in Florence after his death, only to discover that he has left his fortune to a monastery. In desperation, they turn to the cunning Gianni Schicchi, who impersonates the deceased and dictates a new will – only to leave the most valuable part of the inheritance, Buoso’s house, to himself. What follows is a fast-paced and brilliantly comic opera full of wit, intrigue, and unexpected twists.

Together, these two works create a compelling evening of theatre that explores the comedy of human weakness with irony, energy, and musical richness.
