Grand piano striker interprets Brahms
Khatia Buniatishvili, celebrated by the press as a »grand piano striker«, has secured herself a firm place in the current top league of keyboard virtuosos. Her interpretation of the second piano concerto by Johannes Brahms is based on a pronounced familiarity with the composer's work. The opulent four-movement concerto was composed in 1881 and impresses above all with its tonal balance between piano and orchestra.
