Commercial Councilor Isidor Geller was highly respected in Viennese society; but after the National Socialists seized power in 1938, he lost everything. Years later, his great-grandniece, the journalist Shelly Kupferberg, discovered Isidor in her grandfather's letters and researched his story. In ISIDOR – A JEWISH LIFE, she recounts his rise and fall, from his childhood in Lviv to his arrest and death, and offers a detailed look at early 20th-century Vienna and the destruction of democracy.
