Geduld ist wahrlich nicht ihre Stärke und so bringt Daphne de Luxe mit „GEDULDSPROBEN“ ein Programm auf die Bühne, das authentischer und amüsanter kaum sein kann. „Von Schwiegermüttern und anderen Plagen“ lässt schnell erahnen, wer Dreh- und Angelpunkt dieses Comedy-Programms ist: Die Schwiegermutter. Denn die lauern einfach überall: beim Arztbesuch, im Supermarkt, bei Behördengängen oder in der virtuellen Welt. Sie kennen das! Wenn Daphne de Luxe die Herausforderungen ihres Alltags auf humorvolle Weise ausführt, wundert es kaum, dass die biblischen Plagen, im Vergleich dazu, fast wie eine Kleinigkeit wirken. Stadthalle Troisdorf is a 2014 event hall with 1500 seats in Troisdorf in North Rhine-Westphalia.

For the first design for the construction of a Stadthalle in Troisdorf the Cologne architectural office Böhm and Paul Böhm was responsible.

The design was designed to create a representative Rathausplatz at the end of the Kölner Straße, as well as a city park, which by clear form language as the conclusion of the north side functioned. With the construction of a pond and the three buildings of the town hall, a city planning unit was to be built. The already existing town hall, as well as the eastern dynamite-nobel building and the Stadthalle, should then narrow down the town hall square and give the square a distinctive shape by its arrangement.

The design also contained a comprehensive new traffic engineering concept, with relocation of commercial delivery journeys and the construction of a large underground car park. The design was subordinated to the available tree, most of the available trees were able to stand despite the extensive construction measures.

The structure of the Stadthalle is mainly characterized by a shed roof system, which runs from the square edge into the building depth. A central inner hall is surrounded by individual smaller buildings, which can function as multifunctional rooms.

This design was executed in a significantly reduced form by the Architekturbüro K-H Architekten from Stuttgart. Böhm planned a hall for about 3000 visitors, the reduced implementation provides space for 1500 visitors. The hall size is 5,900 m² and the stage size is 140 m². The foundation was laid on 30 November 2012. The Stadthalle was completed in a timely manner.

The living façade, which is presented in different copper and bronze tones depending on the location of the observer, is a distinctive style. The color play is due to the incorporation of stainless steel strips, which have been subjected to an electrolysis treatment.


Stadthalle Troisdorf was opened in the spring of 2014. At the opening, the song Our House was played by the Ska group Madness, for which a dance group of the dance school Breuer performed a choreography.

Operators of Stadthalle is the town administration Troisdorf. The hall can be used flexibly, as several event rooms are available. The hall was planned for meetings, conferences, congresses, concerts, seminars, theater performances as well as small-art events.

The construction of the hall has been barrier-free so that the hall can also be visited for people with disabilities and the infirm. Alternative seating configurations allow different event concepts. Events for 15 to 1500 persons as well as the integration of a free-standing country (including covered outdoor stage) are possible.

The municipal cultural office initiated a design contest for the name and logo of the new hall, which involved 40 advertising agencies from the Troisdorf region. A jury reviewed 22 suggestions and filtered out five designs. The citizens of Troisdorf were able to vote on this in free elections. The citizens voted with 373 votes for the proposal No. 5, which contained the name "Stadthalle Troisdorf".
